India’s cricketer Pooja Vastrakar, a seam-bowling all-rounder, is set to join the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) after recovering from a shoulder injury. Pooja, who had been undergoing rehabilitation in Bengaluru, faced a setback with a hamstring injury, causing her to miss part of the Women’s Premier League 2026.
Despite missing some matches, Pooja, aged 26, is now cleared to join RCB in Vadodara after being bought by the team in the previous auction. Known for her all-round skills, Pooja has faced various fitness challenges throughout her career, including knee injuries.
With an impressive record in T20Is and past success in the WPL, Pooja’s return is expected to bolster RCB’s bowling lineup. Her experience and skills could be crucial for RCB as they aim to secure a spot in the playoffs this season.
