India’s Syndrela Das Wins U-19 Mixed Doubles Title at WTT Youth Contender 2026

India’s Syndrela Das secured her second consecutive victory by partnering with Sarthak Arya to claim the U-19 mixed doubles championship at the WTT Youth Contender 2026 held at the SAMA Indoor Sports Complex in Vadodara. The tournament, organized by the Table Tennis Association of Baroda and supported by the Sports Authority of Gujarat, featured 226 players competing in various age categories from U-11 to U-19.

In the U-19 mixed doubles final, Syndrela and Sarthak outperformed the top-seeded pair of Abhinandh Pradhivadhi and Ananya Muralidharan with a score of 11-3, 11-9, 11-3 to secure the title. Syndrela, who had already claimed the girls U-17 singles title, is also a strong contender to defend her U-19 singles crown.

Another notable victory came in the U-15 mixed doubles category, where Vivaan Dave and Naisha Rewaskar emerged victorious by defeating Reyansh Jalan and Tanishka Kalbhairav with a score of 11-8, 11-8, 11-3. The tournament witnessed intense competition across various age groups, with players advancing from the group stage to the knockout rounds based on their performances.
