India’s leading low-cost airline, IndiGo, has announced the launch of a new direct flight route between Bengaluru and Abu Dhabi. The service is set to commence operations on August 1, 2024, enhancing connectivity between India and the United Arab Emirates.

The new route will serve as a gateway for Indian travelers to explore Abu Dhabi and beyond, leveraging IndiGo’s extensive network. It will also provide international travelers the opportunity to experience the rich heritage and historical landmarks of Bengaluru.

Flight 6E 1438 will depart from Bengaluru daily at 9:25 pm, except on Tuesdays, and will arrive in Abu Dhabi at 11:30 pm. Conversely, flight 6E 1439 will depart from Abu Dhabi daily at 12:30 am, except on Wednesdays, landing in Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) at 5:45 am.

Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, stated that the new flight will further strengthen travel, trade, and tourism between India and the UAE by offering smooth and convenient options for both business and leisure travelers. With the addition of this route, Bengaluru becomes the tenth city on the IndiGo network to offer direct flights to Abu Dhabi.

IndiGo will now operate 75 weekly flights from Abu Dhabi to 10 cities in India, further solidifying its position as a major player in the India-UAE travel corridor. Overall, IndiGo will offer over 220 weekly flights to various destinations within the UAE, enhancing connectivity and providing more travel options for passengers.
