The International Kite Festival in Gujarat transformed the skies of Vadodara into a colorful spectacle, featuring kites of various shapes and hues dancing in the windy conditions. Spectators, including locals and tourists, were captivated by the display of large kites, showcasing a blend of beauty and vibrancy. The event, a collaboration between Gujarat Tourism, the District Administration, and the Vadodara Municipal Corporation, saw over 160 kite enthusiasts from India and abroad exhibiting dazzling stunts with their unique kites.
The festival, embodying the theme of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (the world is one family), created a festive ambiance with participants from different countries and states, drawing a significant crowd. Kite flyers from nations like Australia, the UK, Brazil, South Africa, and Thailand, as well as states such as Bihar, Rajasthan, and Tamil Nadu, presented a mesmerizing array of kites, delighting the audience. The event culminated with a special treat of Unjha Jalebi for guests, adding to the memorable celebrations.
Dr. Hemang Joshi, Vadodara MP, highlighted the enthusiastic organization of the International Kite Festival, which saw the participation of more than 20 foreign guests, in line with the vision of PM Modi during his tenure as Gujarat Chief Minister. Vadodara Municipal Commissioner Arun Mahesh Babu expressed gratitude to the government and commended the collaborative efforts of individuals from various states and countries in ensuring the success of the event.
