Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Nitin Nabin slammed Kerala’s Left Democratic Front (LDF) and United Democratic Front (UDF), accusing them of hindering the state’s progress. Nabin, during a roadshow in Karunagappalli ahead of the April 9 Assembly election, criticized the two major political alliances in Kerala.
Nabin alleged that over the past seven decades, both the LDF and UDF have engaged in corrupt practices, neglecting Kerala’s development. He emphasized that these parties have failed to prioritize the state’s growth in various sectors, including infrastructure and welfare.
The BJP President further claimed that the LDF and UDF are colluding behind the scenes, neglecting the state’s tourism and hospitality sectors. He highlighted the issue of migration from Kerala due to lack of employment opportunities, blaming the incumbent and previous governments for the decline in backwater tourism.
Nabin also took a swipe at opposition leaders for their silence on insults to Hindu deities across the country. He criticized them for allegedly exploiting religious sentiments for political gains, particularly referencing the Sabarimala issue. Nabin expressed confidence in BJP’s increasing support in Kerala, aiming to position the party as a viable alternative to the existing political establishments.
