Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi criticized the world’s inaction towards attacks on Tehran, stating it could embolden aggressors to repeat such actions. Speaking at a meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in Kyrgyzstan, Araghchi highlighted the silence on US-Israeli aggression.
He expressed concerns that any country could be targeted next, including attacks on various facilities like education, healthcare, infrastructure, and nuclear sites. Araghchi emphasized that despite Tehran’s commitment to diplomacy, it faced aggression amid negotiations, eroding trust in peaceful resolutions.
Araghchi cautioned that participating in or supporting aggression against Iran would bring international responsibility. He affirmed Iran’s readiness to defend itself against any hostile actions, considering the source of aggression as a legitimate target for defensive measures.
Iran’s Foreign Minister underscored shared values with SCO members, condemning unilateral actions, breaches of international law, and unlawful use of force. He highlighted Iran’s increasing international focus due to recent US activities and regional developments, fostering dialogue and attention on the nation.
