Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it targeted US assets and facilities in Bahrain and Kuwait with missile and drone attacks in response to US actions against Iranian provinces. The IRGC reported that in the first round of strikes, it destroyed drone maintenance and repair hangars used by US units at Al-Sakhir Air Base in Bahrain.

In the second round, the IRGC targeted and destroyed US silos housing Task Force 59 vessels at Salman Port in Bahrain, resulting in heavy damage to the vessels. The third round of strikes by the IRGC set fire to facilities at Camp Arifjan in Kuwait, where US special naval commandos are stationed, supported, and equipped.

Bahrain’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the Iranian attacks, stating that they aimed at “vital civilian infrastructure” and posed a direct threat to civilian lives. Additionally, Bahrain’s Civil Aviation Affairs mentioned that Iranian drones targeted the civil air navigation systems of the Bahrain flight information region, although air navigation services remained unaffected.

The US Central Command confirmed that its forces had conducted strikes against Iran, targeting US aircraft in Jordan’s Aqaba port city and assets in Kuwait. The US had previously launched multiple strikes on Iran’s southern provinces to diminish Iran’s capacity to threaten commercial shipping, prompting retaliatory actions from Iran involving missile and drone attacks on US military bases and facilities in the region.

Explosions were reported in Iran’s southern provinces of Hormozgan and Fars, as per the semi-official Mehr news agency.
