The Israel Defense Force (IDF) announced the destruction of 14 kilometers of underground tunnels in the Northern Gaza Strip. This operation, led by the Northern Brigade forces and the Yahalam unit, targeted Hamas’ underground infrastructure in the region. The IDF reported that the brigade’s forces, in collaboration with the Yahalam unit, have successfully demolished around 14 kilometers of tunnels, uncovering sleeping quarters and various weapons inside.
In recent months, the Northern Brigade forces have neutralized about 70 terrorists who violated ceasefire agreements and posed immediate threats. The IDF also updated its defense policy, implementing a gathering restriction of up to 1,500 people in specific areas. Additionally, the IDF targeted military structures used by the Hezbollah terror organization, resulting in secondary explosions that indicated the presence of weaponry.
The Israeli army initiated attacks on Hezbollah’s infrastructure in the Bekaa region and southern Lebanon. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously instructed the IDF to intensively target Hezbollah locations in Lebanon.
