Remembering their significant contributions to Hindi cinema, Jackie shared a photo of KL Saigal on Instagram. He paid homage to Saigal by playing the song “Gham diya mustaquil” from the 1946 film “Shahjehan,” directed by Abdul Rashid Kardar.
Jackie then remembered Navin Nischol by posting a picture of him from his youth and playing the song “Raat Kali Ek Khwaab Mein Aayi” from the 1971 film “Buddha Mil Gaya” by Hrishikesh Mukherjee. Nischol, the first gold medalist from the Film and Television Institute of India, appeared in notable films like “Victoria No. 203” and “Dhund” before transitioning to television with “Dekh Bhai Dekh.”
