Bollywood actor Jackie Shroff honored the legendary Meena Kumari on her 54th death anniversary by sharing a heartfelt tribute on social media. Shroff posted a monochrome collage featuring various pictures of the iconic actress, praising her timeless elegance. Meena Kumari, known as the “Tragedy Queen” of Bollywood, left a lasting impact on Indian cinema with her exceptional performances in movies like Pakeezah and Sahib Bibi Aur Ghulam.

The collage showcased iconic portraits of Meena Kumari from her films and highlighted her expressive eyes, capturing her essence beautifully. Meena Kumari, who began her career as a child artist, rose to fame as one of the most celebrated actresses of her time. Renowned for her emotive expressions and soulful screen presence, she earned immense critical acclaim and a massive fan following during her career.

Despite her success on screen, Meena Kumari faced personal struggles, including a challenging marriage to filmmaker Kamal Amrohi. The completion of her iconic film Pakeezah was marred by health issues and delays, yet it became a timeless classic upon its release in 1972. Meena Kumari’s life was also surrounded by rumors, with speculations linking her romantically to actor Dharmendra in her later years.
