Actor Jackie Shroff honored the late legendary actor and politician Sunil Dutt on his 21st death anniversary on May 25. He also remembered iconic music composer Laxmikant Kudalkar, part of the renowned duo Laxmikant-Pyarelal, on the same day. Shroff shared a vintage black-and-white photo of Sunil Dutt from his early days in Bollywood.
In a heartfelt gesture, Jackie captioned the picture with “Sunil Dutt ji Always in our hearts” and included the dates “6 June 1929 – 25 May 2005.” Additionally, he posted a monochrome image of Laxmikant seated next to a harmonium. The background score used by Shroff was from the classic film ‘Hero’, originally composed by Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
Laxmikant Kudalkar, alongside Pyarelal Sharma, formed one of India’s most successful music composer duos. Known as Laxmikant-Pyarelal, they created timeless music for blockbuster movies like ‘Karz’, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’, and ‘Mr. India’. Laxmikant passed away on May 25, 1998, at the age of 60 due to kidney issues.

Over six decades, he starred in acclaimed films such as ‘Mother India’ and ‘Waqt’. Dutt’s performance in ‘Mother India’ remains iconic. He married actress Nargis, with whom he had three children.
