Talat Mahmood, born on February 24, 1924, in Lucknow, gained fame for his soft, trembling voice and soulful renditions. He passed away in Mumbai on May 9, 1998, reportedly due to a heart attack, at the age of 74. Throughout his career, Talat delivered hit songs like “Tasveer Teri Dil Mera Behla Na Sakegi” and “Sham-E-Gham Ki Kasam.”
