External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with Kuwait’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, to discuss bilateral relations and Gulf developments. Jaishankar praised the Crown Prince’s efforts to enhance cooperation between India and Kuwait. This meeting took place during Jaishankar’s visit to Kuwait as part of his tour to strengthen partnerships with six nations.
Following the meeting, Jaishankar expressed gratitude to the Crown Prince for his commitment to advancing bilateral cooperation. He also conveyed warm greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Jaishankar appreciated the Crown Prince’s insights on Gulf developments. In another engagement, Jaishankar thanked Kuwait’s Deputy Foreign Minister for the warm reception and looked forward to upcoming discussions.
During his visit, Jaishankar also met with Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister to explore avenues for enhancing cooperation across various sectors. He shared details of the meeting, highlighting discussions on strengthening bilateral ties and exchanging views on regional matters. Earlier, Jaishankar had a meeting with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, conveying greetings from the Indian President and Prime Minister and expressing gratitude for the safety of the Indian community in Bahrain.
In Bahrain, Jaishankar interacted with the Indian community, recognizing their significant contributions to Bahraini society and their role in fostering strong India-Bahrain relations. He listened to their experiences and suggestions for further deepening the partnership. After his engagements in Kuwait and Bahrain, Jaishankar is set to visit Oman, the US, and Brussels as part of his diplomatic tour.
