External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar visited UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi to convey Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s greetings. Jaishankar thanked Sheikh Mohamed for ensuring the safety of the Indian community during the West Asia conflict. The meeting also included Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Jaishankar expressed gratitude for the support provided to the Indian community in Dubai by the UAE government. He emphasized the importance of further strengthening the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Jaishankar’s visit to the UAE follows discussions with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on the regional situation in West Asia.
During his interaction with the Indian community in the UAE, Jaishankar highlighted the Indian government’s efforts to ensure the security and well-being of its nationals amidst the conflict. He appreciated the contributions of the Indian community to the local society during challenging times. Jaishankar’s visit to the UAE comes after his participation in the 9th Indian Ocean Conference in Mauritius.
