Jamia Millia Islamia’s Residential Coaching Academy (RCA), Centre of Coaching and Career Planning (CCCP), recently held its inaugural alumni meet, marking 15 years of history and honoring 120 successful candidates in civil services and other competitive exams for the year 2025-26. The event, named “Ek Shaam RCA Ke Naam,” brought together over 30 alumni nationwide to commemorate the academy’s remarkable achievement of 120 selections in various prestigious examinations, including the UPSC Civil Services Examination and Indian Forest Service Examination, among others, as confirmed by JMI Chief Public Relations Officer Saima Saeed.
Alumni from different parts of the country, now serving in diverse services, gathered for the celebration, blending nostalgia and accomplishment. The event, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Mazhar Asif and Registrar Md. Mahtab Alam Rizvi, highlighted the Academy’s exponential growth under their guidance and vision. Professor Samina Bano, In-Charge of RCA, attributed the record-breaking success to the university’s unwavering support, strategic direction, and effective administration, which have propelled the Academy to unprecedented heights.
Established with the aim of providing high-quality residential coaching for students preparing for civil services and competitive exams, RCA expressed gratitude towards its affiliated officials for their support. Notably, Officiating Controller of Examinations, Professor Ahteshamul Haque, was praised for his instrumental role in RCA’s All India Entrance Test, alongside recognition for the Finance Officer and other university personnel for their consistent backing. The achievement of 120 selections in a single year underscores the dedication of RCA’s candidates, the hard work of the RCA team, counsellors, Academic Coordinator, and Lead, as well as the continuous support from various stakeholders, including alumni mentors and staff.
The evening’s agenda included honoring the successful candidates and hearing reflections from alumni on their transformative journey from RCA’s classrooms to public service roles. Assistant Professor In-Charge, RCA, Saba Mahmood Bashir, conveyed gratitude to the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar for their enduring commitment to RCA and Jamia Millia Islamia.
