Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind president Maulana Arshad Madani expressed that politics fueled by animosity weakens the nation. He criticized the use of bulldozers to demolish Rampur’s Jauhar University, suggesting penalties or legal actions for any irregularities instead.
Madani, speaking at the Hindu-Muslim Ittehad Conference in Lucknow, highlighted the importance of combating communalism through love and mutual respect. He urged for unity and progress, emphasizing the need to resist divisive forces collectively.
Addressing the politicization of Jauhar University’s situation, Madani defended the institution named after Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar, advocating against its demolition. He called for legal measures if violations occurred, emphasizing the university’s significance to students’ futures.
Regarding the Gyanvapi dispute, Madani proposed a final court verdict for resolution if negotiations fail. He criticized the “One Nation, One Election” proposal as a political tactic, cautioning against religious divides and emphasizing the importance of respecting diverse faiths.
