In a significant move against terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Sinha has dismissed the services of five government workers due to their confirmed terror connections. The terminated employees include Mohd Ishfaq, Tariq Ahmad Rah, Bashir Ahmad Mir, Farooq Ahmad Bhat, and Mohd Yousuf.

Mohd Ishfaq, a teacher, was found to have ties with the Pakistan-based terror group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). Investigations revealed that Ishfaq was involved in a plot to assassinate a police officer in Doda. Despite being in jail, he continued radical activities, influencing others to join terror groups.

Tariq Ahmad Rah, a lab technician, was associated with the terror outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) and helped a wanted terrorist escape to Pakistan. Bashir Ahmad Mir, an Assistant Lineman, was aiding LeT by providing support to terrorists in Gurez. Farooq Ahmad Bhat, a field worker, collaborated with HM and assisted in the escape of a commander to Pakistan.

Mohd Yousuf, a driver, was in contact with terrorists and involved in arms procurement and fund transportation. The actions taken by the Lt. Governor aim to eliminate terrorist influence within the system.
