Governor Manoj Sinha visited the family of Head Constable Ashiq Hussain Qureshi, who tragically lost his life in a terrorist attack in Lalipora village of Beerwah tehsil, Budgam district. Accompanied by DGP Nalin Prabhat and other officials, the Lt. Governor praised Qureshi’s sacrifice, stating it will inspire a prosperous and peaceful Jammu and Kashmir. Sinha expressed his gratitude to Qureshi’s family, emphasizing the nation’s support and respect for his dedication to duty.
During his visit to Lalpora, Beerwah, Budgam, Sinha honored the memory of the martyr, highlighting his bravery and commitment. He reiterated the nation’s admiration for Qureshi’s service and assured unwavering support to his family. Sinha also acknowledged the ongoing efforts led by PM Narendra Modi to combat terrorism and maintain security in the region.

The police force swiftly launched a manhunt for the assailant responsible for the cowardly act, urging public cooperation in identifying the perpetrator. In response to the incident, security forces intensified their efforts to bring the culprit to justice and prevent such attacks in the future.
