The Jammu and Kashmir Police have taken action by attaching the property of a Pakistan-based terror handler in the Mandi area of the district. This legal move is part of efforts against terrorism and anti-national activities originating from across the border. The attached property, totaling approximately Rs 13.36 lakh, includes land in Tehsil Mandi, District Poonch.
The property in question belongs to Jamal Lone, also known as Jamala, the son of Sultan Lone, who is currently operating as a terror handler based in Pakistan. Jamal Lone had previously fled to Pakistan/PoJK and has been actively involved in activities detrimental to national security and sovereignty. Despite being declared a Proclaimed Offender by the Court, he has evaded the legal process.
Due to the accused’s continued evasion of arrest, the Court ordered the attachment of his immovable property. The execution of this attachment was carried out by the Poonch Police in collaboration with the Revenue Department, following all legal procedures diligently. This action is part of a broader strategy to disrupt the financial and logistical support systems of terror networks and to prevent individuals engaged in terrorism from accessing resources.
The District Police Poonch emphasizes its commitment to taking decisive and lawful actions against Pakistan-based terror handlers and individuals involved in activities that threaten national security. They assure the public that such measures will persist in the interest of peace, public safety, and the nation’s sovereignty.
