Captain Paras Dogra and Kanhaiya Wadhawan’s partnership saved Jammu & Kashmir as they reached 380/4 against Karnataka in the Ranji Trophy Final. Karnataka, led by Devdutt Padikkal, fought back on Day 2 with early wickets due to good swing and bounce. Shubham Pundir’s dismissal by Vidyadhar Patil and Abdul Samad falling to Prasidh Krishna gave Karnataka breakthroughs.

Captain Dogra, who had retired hurt earlier, returned to stabilize the innings with Wadhawan, who eased pressure with boundaries and smart runs. Despite a verbal altercation with a Karnataka fielder, Dogra led the team well, remaining not out at 36. Wadhawan also stood strong at 45, guiding Jammu & Kashmir towards a potential 500-plus score.

Brief Scores: Jammu & Kashmir 380/4 (Shubham Pundir 121, Yawer Hassan 88, Abdul Samad 61; Prasidh Krishna 3-59, Vidyadhar Patil 1-85) against Karnataka at Lunch on Day 2.
