Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor, known for her recent Telugu film Peddi with Ram Charan, expressed her fondness for the 1980s era, particularly the grand storytelling and romance of classic movies. Janhvi, daughter of late superstar Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor, described herself as “quite nostalgic” and a fan of the maximalist and romantic nature of films from that period.
In the movie “Peddi,” directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Janhvi stars alongside actors like Boman Irani, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyenndu. The film showcases Ram Charan as a versatile athlete excelling in cricket, wrestling, and sprinting, with Janhvi playing his love interest Achiyamma. To mark the film’s release, Janhvi visited the revered Srivari Temple in Andhra Pradesh, offering prayers and showing respect by bowing before the shrine.
Janhvi Kapoor, who was last seen in Shashank Khaitan’s film alongside Varun Dhawan and others, made her acting debut in 2018 with Dhadak. Her diverse filmography includes projects like Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl, Roohi, and Homebound, where she portrayed a woman facing social discrimination.
