India’s chances in the ODI series decider against England have taken a hit as fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah will miss the match at Lord’s due to knee swelling from an impact injury. The series is currently level at 1-1.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirmed that Bumrah sustained the injury during the previous match in Cardiff. Despite undergoing a fitness test before the game, he was unable to participate.

Bumrah’s absence is a setback for India’s bowling lineup, which has struggled during the tour. England, on the other hand, is relieved not to face the talented bowler at Lord’s.

England, aiming for a rare ODI series victory over India, has won only seven out of the 23 bilateral ODI series between the two nations. India, however, has won the last three series against England.
