Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed sorrow over the demise of two Indian Air Force (IAF) pilots in a Sukhoi Su-30MKI crash in Assam. The pilots, Squadron Leader Anuj and Flight Lieutenant Purvesh Duragkar, lost their lives in the tragic incident. CM Soren conveyed his condolences on social media, emphasizing their service and sacrifice for the nation.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also shared his grief over the loss of the two officers in the fighter jet crash. He paid tribute to Squadron Leader Anuj and Flight Lieutenant Purvesh Duragkar, acknowledging their martyrdom. The IAF confirmed the fatal injuries sustained by the pilots in the crash that took place during a routine training mission in Assam’s Karbi Anglong area.
The Sukhoi Su-30MKI, a key component of India’s air defense capability, was involved in the unfortunate incident. The aircraft, which was on a training mission, lost radar contact before crashing. The IAF expressed its condolences and solidarity with the bereaved families during this difficult time.
