Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta has addressed comparisons between his upcoming movie ‘Bhoot Bangla’ and the well-known franchise ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. He emphasized that the two films differ significantly in tone and storytelling. Jisshu highlighted that ‘Bhoot Bangla’ is a horror comedy, distinct from the psychological thriller genre of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’.
In an exclusive interview, Jisshu mentioned the collaboration of Akshay Kumar and director Priyadarshan after a long time in ‘Bhoot Bangla’. He also humorously pointed out his presence in ‘Bhoot Bangla’ compared to his absence in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’. The actor responded to rumors of a delay in the film’s release by stating that if the posters mention the 10th, then that is the confirmed date.
‘Bhoot Bangla’ features Jisshu Sengupta alongside Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal, Tabu, and Rajpal Yadav. Directed by Priyadarshan, the film is set to hit the screens on April 10. Besides his Bollywood ventures, Jisshu has established a strong foothold in Bengali cinema over the years.
