In preparation for SANJY-2026, the J&K Traffic Department has issued a detailed timing schedule for Yatri convoys. Yatris heading to the north Kashmir Baltal base camp must depart from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas before 4 a.m. daily. The escorted convoy from Banihal to Baltal should leave before 10 a.m.
From the Manigam transit camp in Ganderbal district, the convoy is permitted to travel only until 5 p.m. towards the Baltal base camp. Yatris returning from Baltal must depart by 6 a.m. at the latest and leave Banihal for Jammu by or before 11.30 a.m.
For the Pahalgam base camp, the Yatri convoy should depart from Bhagwati Nagar Yatri Niwas in Jammu before 4.15 a.m. The convoy heading to the Pahalgam base camp from Banihal must leave before 10.45 a.m. The convoy returning Yatris to Jammu from Pahalgam should depart by 6 a.m. and from the Nunwan base camp near Pahalgam before 6.30 a.m. This convoy must leave Banihal for Jammu before 8 a.m.
Non-convoy Yatris or tourists must ensure that the last vehicle crosses the Navyug tunnel by 3 p.m. Vehicles must leave Manigam transit camp for Baltal before 5 p.m. Those heading from Sonamarg to Ganderbal should depart before 10 a.m. and from Manigam transit camp to Srinagar before 12 noon.
