England’s Jude Bellingham expressed gratitude to fans for their incredible support following England’s defeat to Argentina in the FIFA World Cup 2026 semi-final. Despite leading with a goal from Anthony Gordon, England faced a late turnaround by Argentina, losing the match. Bellingham, in a social media post, acknowledged fans who traveled to America to back the team and called for unity and optimism moving forward.

Bellingham, a standout player in the tournament, contributed significantly to England’s campaign with seven goal involvements, including a crucial brace in the quarter-finals against Norway. England’s journey in the World Cup included victories over DR Congo, Mexico, and Norway in the knockout stages, raising hopes for a title win after decades of disappointment. However, Argentina’s comeback dashed England’s dreams of a second World Cup triumph.

Following their exit, England will now focus on the third-place playoff against France, while Argentina prepares to face Spain in the World Cup final on Monday.
