English actor Jude Law has been announced as the lead in an upcoming film centered around a getaway driver. The script for the movie is penned by Zach Baylin, known for his work on various projects, including the OTT miniseries ‘Black Rabbit’ and ‘The Order’. The revelation was made at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival by Ben Jackson and Katie Sinclair from Riff Raff Entertainment, as reported by ‘Variety’.
Baylin is also involved in a new television series in collaboration with Law’s production company, Riff Raff Entertainment. The movie’s concept, shared by Jackson, revolves around a getaway driver navigating obstacles to reach his destinations. Sinclair expressed excitement about Law’s involvement, highlighting his versatility as an actor and the project’s shift towards a larger scale while maintaining a character-driven narrative.
According to ‘Variety’, Law’s participation in the film distinguishes it from others in the action genre, emphasizing the team’s pursuit of excellence and uniqueness in each project. Jackson mentioned that the idea stemmed from Law’s enjoyment of car chases in ‘The Order’, leading to the development of a compelling script by Zach.
Jude Law previously portrayed Russian leader Vladimir Putin in ‘The Wizard of the Kremlin’, a political thriller directed by Olivier Assayas, which premiered at the 2025 Venice Film Festival.
