As the Enforcement Directorate’s Special Investigation Team delves into the Bitcoin scam involving Karnataka politicians, Minister for Home Priyank Kharge has mentioned a potential review of the Cabinet sub-committee. Kharge addressed this issue in Bengaluru, stating that discussions will ensue regarding the reconstitution necessity. The case involves Karnataka Youth Congress leader Mohammed Haris Nalapad, named in a chargesheet related to the 2017 Unocoin bitcoin theft case.

The SIT, led by the ED, has issued a third notice to Mohammed Nalapad, with investigations revealing alleged money transactions tied to him for Bitcoin conversion. The case also implicates an international hacker, Srikrishna alias Sriki, accused of illegal Bitcoin acquisition and conversion attempts. Recent raids by ED officials at Congress MLA N.A. Harris’s residences yielded digital evidence.

Regarding the Bidadi Township controversy, Minister Priyank Kharge defended the project, citing past support during JD(S)’s tenure. He addressed opposition concerns, emphasizing the government’s responsiveness to public sentiment. Kharge also discussed police personnel’s weekly leave requests, highlighting the importance of addressing staff welfare and stress-related issues promptly.
