The Karnataka BJP commemorated the 125th birth anniversary of Bharatiya Jana Sangh founder Dr. Syama Prasad Mookerjee by paying floral tributes and participating in the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign. Party leaders planted a sapling at the state headquarters in Bengaluru to promote environmental conservation.
In a ceremony at Jagannath Bhavan, the BJP leaders honored Dr. Mookerjee, highlighting his advocacy for India’s unity, integrity, and nationalism. The event also saw the launch of a tree plantation initiative as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s campaign to encourage environmental awareness.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi praised Dr. Mookerjee’s significant contributions to India’s unity, industrial progress, and educational reforms. He emphasized the late leader’s role in shaping the Bharatiya Jana Sangh with a strong nationalist ethos, inspiring the youth with his dedication to ‘Nation First.’
