Karnataka BJP revealed the logo and poster for its ‘SIR Maha Samparka Abhiyan’ campaign, set to run on July 25 and 26. The campaign aims to aid voters with the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. Party workers, under the guidance of S. Dattatri, will visit households to raise awareness about the enumeration process and assist in form submissions.
Dattatri outlined that each key party worker is tasked with visiting 20 households as part of the outreach effort. BJP workers will engage with residents, inquire about enumeration forms, and collaborate with Booth Level Agents (BLA)-2 for form submissions. The workers are instructed to visit 10 houses daily, spending about 50 minutes at each location to address residents’ queries and provide necessary information.
The BJP has conducted mapping exercises and trained its members on the SIR process for the past six months. Dattatri emphasized the campaign’s goal to dispel confusion among voters regarding the enumeration forms. The party has appointed individuals to oversee SIR activities in each Assembly constituency and aims to reach as many households as possible to provide accurate information.
Legislators, former MLAs, former Zilla Panchayat members, and former Legislative Council members will join the campaign, according to Dattatri. The BJP has appointed approximately 56,000 BLA-2 representatives across the state’s 224 Assembly constituencies. The party has submitted their details to the Election Commission and completed the necessary uploads.
