Karnataka BJP legislators protested in the Legislative Council over derogatory remarks made against Prime Minister Narendra Modi by Congress MLC Naseer Ahmad. The disruption led to Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s Political Secretary expressing regret over the comments. The BJP members gathered in the House, raising slogans against Naseer Ahmad for his anti-national remarks.

High drama unfolded as BJP MLC C.T. Ravi criticized the derogatory language used against the Prime Minister, suggesting it resembled a Pakistani tongue. Chairman Basavaraj Horatti intervened, highlighting the inappropriate behavior of raising slogans in the House. The exchange continued with Ravi questioning the tolerance of such remarks against the Prime Minister.

Responding to the situation, Naseer Ahmad defended his comments, stating they were made in the context of job losses in the country. The Chairman urged Naseer Ahmad to apologize for insulting the Prime Minister to avoid further disruptions in the House. Despite the tensions, a meeting was convened between party leaders to address the issue.
