Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra announced that the BJP and JD(S) will collaborate to raise significant public concerns during the upcoming Assembly session starting on August 13. They aim to hold the ruling Congress accountable for matters impacting people statewide. Vijayendra made these remarks after attending Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’ program in Shivajinagar Assembly constituency.
He praised the Prime Minister for creating a platform that showcases achievers from various fields, fostering positivity. Vijayendra highlighted Modi’s tribute to Kargil War heroes and his recognition of achievements by India’s women’s cricket team, shuttler P.V. Sindhu, and Indian students. The BJP leader commended Modi for addressing crucial topics like water conservation through his radio program.
Vijayendra mentioned that the BJP and JD(S) will strategize on issues like the Kanakapura airport project and the drought situation in Karnataka during the Legislature session. He noted delays in consultations with JD(S) leaders due to a recent bereavement and emphasized the need for a joint approach with alliance partners. The BJP leader also criticized attempts to politicize the NEET issue and stressed the importance of a transparent investigation.
Welcoming the appointment of Pralhad Joshi to oversee Higher Education, Vijayendra expressed confidence in Joshi’s ability to enhance the sector. He accused the Congress government of corruption and neglecting development in favor of publicity. Vijayendra pledged to address concerns regarding various government schemes during the session and scrutinize the Kanakapura airport project thoroughly.
He further criticized the government’s handling of recruitment exams, alleging a lack of meaningful reform despite promises. Vijayendra highlighted the youth’s scrutiny of the government’s actions and vowed to advocate for Karnataka’s youth in the Legislature. The BJP leader emphasized the party’s commitment to seeking solutions for the state’s future.
