Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has commenced campaigning in Davanagere for the upcoming bypolls after wrapping up in Bagalkot. Responding to BJP’s claims of the state’s financial troubles, he assured that Karnataka’s economy is strong. Siddaramaiah expressed confidence in Congress winning the by-elections in Bagalkote and Davanagere, citing the government’s development projects and welfare schemes.
Siddaramaiah, addressing the media during his campaign in Davanagere, mentioned his prior campaigning in Bagalkot and outlined his plans for the next two days in Davanagere. Emphasizing the party’s optimism, he stated that they anticipate a significant victory in both Assembly seats. The by-elections were triggered by the passing of H.Y. Meti in Bagalkot and Shamanur Shivashankarappa in Davanagere.
The Chief Minister highlighted the positive impact of late leaders and the state government’s welfare programs on Congress’ prospects. He refuted BJP’s claims of Karnataka’s financial instability and dismissed allegations of voter list manipulation. Siddaramaiah expressed satisfaction with the ongoing poll campaigning, with Congress workers actively engaging with voters and reiterated his confidence in the party’s performance and welfare initiatives garnering public support.
