Responding to queries about a meeting with the party high command on power-sharing, Shivakumar maintained uncertainty, stating that time would reveal the outcome.
When questioned about Home Minister G. Parameshwara seeking clarity from the high command on power-sharing, Shivakumar extended his well wishes. He denied seeking information on legislators’ alleged foreign tours, emphasizing his lack of involvement in such matters. Shivakumar affirmed his commitment to party discipline, asserting his readiness to follow directives without interference.
Regarding the government’s upcoming event in Haveri to mark 1,000 days in office, Shivakumar mentioned the Bhoomi Guarantee scheme program. He also discussed his visit to Sage Ajjayya’s mutt for the annual fair and his interactions with World Bank officials to explore support for various projects. Shivakumar refrained from commenting on the arrest of BJP MLA Byrathi Basavaraj, redirecting inquiries to the Home Minister.
Congress MLC Channaraj Hattiholi, a supporter of Shivakumar, expressed the desire for Shivakumar to ascend to the Chief Minister’s position, echoing the sentiments of the state’s people and Congress party members.
