Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara has announced plans to identify, capture, and repatriate Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in the state. He emphasized that the Bangladeshi embassy would be notified in such instances.
Parameshwara, speaking in Bengaluru, stated, “If any Bangladeshi national is living in the state unlawfully, we will locate them, apprehend them, and send them back. We have taken such actions before.” When questioned about the presence of Bangladeshi nationals, he advised caution in framing such queries.
Responding to criticism from Union Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, who labeled him as “incapable and a rubber stamp,” Parameshwara asserted his commitment to upholding law and order in Karnataka. He refrained from further comment but urged Kumaraswamy to consider his statements carefully.
