The Karnataka Police have apprehended Kenneth, the partner of a woman already in custody for the alleged killing of her parents and sister in Bengaluru. The victims include a software professional, Somasundar, his wife Muthulakshmi, and their younger daughter, Supriya. The elder daughter, Shwetha, and her boyfriend Kenneth are suspected of perpetrating the crime in an apartment in Seegehalli.
Kenneth was captured in Puducherry after evading arrest for a period. Authorities disclosed that he had been hiding along the seashore in makeshift huts to avoid detection. Following his arrest, Kenneth is set to appear before a Magistrate, with the police planning to request his custody for further inquiries. Meanwhile, Shwetha has been remanded to judicial custody as the investigation unfolds.
Shwetha, the prime suspect, reportedly expressed feelings of being confined by her mother for years, leading to the fatal act. She claimed sole responsibility for the murders during police interrogation, attempting to absolve Kenneth. However, investigators suspect the involvement of both individuals based on evidence from the crime scene and the victims’ injuries. Despite Shwetha’s arrest, Kenneth remains at large.
