The Karnataka tableau titled ‘Millets to Microchip’ was presented at Bharat Parv 2026, a national cultural and tourism festival organized by the Ministry of Tourism during the Republic Day festivities. The festival, running from January 26 to January 31 at the Red Fort in New Delhi, aims to spotlight India’s cultural diversity, heritage, and progress through state exhibitions and performances.
This year, the Karnataka tableau was excluded from the Republic Day parade due to the rotation policy implemented by the Central authorities. The theme ‘Millet to Microchip’ signifies Karnataka’s evolution from traditional agriculture to a technology-driven economy, showcasing its advancements in agriculture, industry, and modern technology.
Designed to showcase the state’s development journey, the tableau features large pots of various millet varieties, statues of farmers, and symbols of progress like the rising sun. It also includes depictions of technological innovations, such as an AI robot, space technology contributions, and healthcare advancements, illustrating Karnataka’s transition from tradition to modernity.
The tableau at Bharat Parv highlights Karnataka’s industrial growth, technological prowess, and agricultural innovations, emphasizing the state’s pivotal role in electronics and technology sectors. It encapsulates Karnataka’s transformation from agrarian roots to a hub of innovation and technology, symbolizing the state’s progress and balance between tradition and modernity.
