Nihal Sudheesh and Vibin Mohanan scored for Kerala Blasters FC as they secured a 2-0 victory over Jamshedpur FC in an Indian Super League (ISL) match at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi. Sudheesh and Mohanan’s goals helped the hosts claim all three points, with goalkeeper Arsh Shaikh putting in a standout performance to maintain a clean sheet.
The game started energetically, with both teams vying for control in midfield. Kerala Blasters displayed early dominance through Karim Benarif and Kévin Yoke, while Jamshedpur showed composure in their build-up play, resulting in a closely contested first half. A well-executed attack in the 12th minute saw Sudheesh head in a cross from Benarif to give Kerala the lead.
Despite Jamshedpur’s attempts to equalize, including a close header hitting the post, Kerala extended their lead in the 36th minute through Vibin Mohanan’s header. The visitors pushed for a comeback in the second half but were thwarted by Kerala’s resolute defense and Arsh Shaikh’s crucial saves. Kerala managed the game effectively, securing a well-deserved 2-0 win.
