Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan welcomed Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Thiruvananthapuram for the inauguration of key development projects, hailing it as a significant moment for Kerala. During the official event, CM Vijayan greeted various dignitaries present, including Governor Rajendra V. Arlekar and Union Minister of State George Kurian.
Vijayan emphasized that the Prime Minister’s visit to launch multiple projects would greatly boost the state’s progress. He highlighted initiatives like the CSIR-NIIST Innovation Hub, the new Poojappura Head Post Office building, and the PM SVANidhi scheme benefiting street vendors. The event also involved distributing credit cards and loan cheques to scheme beneficiaries.
Furthermore, the Chief Minister noted the inauguration of new rail services by PM Modi, including three Amrit Bharat Express trains, which he described as crucial for Kerala’s connectivity and economic growth. Vijayan expressed gratitude for the Union government’s approval of these projects, hoping for continued support and addressing of Kerala’s needs in various sectors.
Vijayan expressed confidence in the Prime Minister’s commitment to timely project implementation, closing his remarks by extending a warm welcome to PM Modi on behalf of the state and emphasizing cooperative federalism in this milestone event for Kerala.
