Three-time Olympic champion Kimberly Rhode secured her 27th World Cup title at the ISSF World Cup in Hangzhou. The United States celebrated a one-two finish in the women’s skeet event, with Rhode defeating teammate Samantha Simonton 34-32 to claim the gold medal. This victory marked Rhode’s 41st World Cup medal in her illustrious career.

China’s Che Yufei clinched the bronze medal with 28 hits, earning her second World Cup medal at the event. Expressing her satisfaction, Yufei acknowledged the strong competition and her own performance, aiming to further excel in future competitions. Meanwhile, Jiang Yiting of China, who excelled in qualification, finished fifth after a tiebreak, with her compatriot Jiang Chaoyu securing the seventh position.

In another event, Britain’s Seonaid McIntosh narrowly edged out China’s Han Jiayu by 0.3 points in the women’s 50-meter rifle three positions final. Despite Han leading in the earlier stages, McIntosh’s strong standing performance secured her victory with 362.6 points. Norway’s Jeanette Hegg Duestad claimed the bronze medal, with China’s Zhang Liyuan finishing fourth in the competition.

The men’s skeet title was claimed by Qatar’s Rashid Saleh Al-Athba, who displayed exceptional skill by hitting 34 out of 35 targets. Al-Athba equaled the world record and emerged victorious over Spain’s Jose Maria Mielgo Moneo by one target. The Hangzhou World Cup, ongoing until July 28, will witness the women’s 10-meter air pistol and men’s 25-meter rapid fire pistol events on Friday.
