Tovino Thomas, in an earlier interview, emphasized that ‘Pallichattambi’ delves into the theme of humanity amidst the socio-political backdrop of 1957-58 in Kerala. He clarified that while the film draws inspiration from historical events, it presents a fictional narrative. Thomas underscored the effort to make the storyline believable by incorporating elements inspired by real-life occurrences of the era.
