Governor Abdul Nazeer also commemorated the ‘Manyam Veerudu’ Sri Alluri Sitarama Raju, acknowledging his fearless resistance against British colonial rule. Former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu paid his respects to Alluri, recognizing him as a significant figure in the Telugu region’s history of the freedom struggle. Venkaiah Naidu emphasized the importance of Alluri’s patriotism and bravery in the face of British oppression.
Former Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Education Minister Nara Lokesh also honored Alluri’s memory, highlighting his sacrifices for tribal rights and his pivotal role in India’s independence movement. Jagan Mohan Reddy praised Alluri’s dedication to securing self-rule for tribals and noted the district named after him by the previous government. Minister Nara Lokesh lauded Alluri’s contributions to India’s freedom movement and emphasized his enduring legacy in the nation’s history.
Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly K. Raghu Rama Krishna Raju paid his respects to Alluri Sitarama Raju on his 102nd death anniversary, commemorating the revolutionary hero’s legacy and bravery. The event saw the participation of district officials, alliance leaders, activists, and the public, honoring the memory of the iconic freedom fighter.
