A leaked five-minute clip from actor Vijay’s upcoming film ‘Jana Nayagan’ has surfaced on social media, showcasing his introductory scene and part of a song. This unauthorized leak has stirred worry and frustration within the film community, drawing support from various producers and directors. Director Arvindh Srinivasan was quick to denounce the leak, emphasizing the detrimental impact on the filmmaking process and urging for a thorough investigation to identify the source.
Expressing solidarity with the ‘Jana Nayagan’ team, Arvindh Srinivasan highlighted the need to uphold ethical standards and combat piracy by refraining from sharing or promoting the leaked content. The film, initially set for a Pongal release in January, faced a delay after being referred to a Revising Committee following submission to the Censor Board. Directed by H. Vinoth, ‘Jana Nayagan’ features a star-studded cast including Bobby Deol, Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Prakash Raj, and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
The decision to postpone the film’s release was communicated by KVN Productions, acknowledging the disappointment among fans and stakeholders.
