Legendary playback singer Asha Bhosle, aged 92, was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital due to extreme exhaustion and a chest infection. Her granddaughter, Zanai Bhosle, shared the health update and requested privacy during this time. Asha Bhosle is currently receiving treatment in the Emergency Medical Services unit at the hospital.
Zanai Bhosle posted on Instagram, informing followers about her grandmother’s health condition. She mentioned that Asha Bhosle is undergoing treatment for exhaustion and a chest infection and expressed hope for a positive outcome. Dr. Pratit Samdani from Breach Candy Hospital confirmed that the legendary singer suffered a cardiac arrest on April 10 and is under medical care at the hospital.
Asha Bhosle’s musical journey began in 1943 with her first playback song for the Marathi film “Majha Bal.” She later ventured into Bollywood with her debut song “Sawan Aya” in the film “Chunariya” in 1948. Known for numerous hits like “Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko” and “O Haseena Zulfonwale Jane Jahan,” Asha Bhosle has collaborated with renowned music composers including Shankar-Jaikishan, RD Burman, and AR Rahman.
