Miami’s triumph extended their unbeaten streak to seven games this season, boasting the best away record with 13 points from three wins, a draw, and a loss.
Messi opened the scoring with a penalty in the 18th minute, taking his tally to six goals this season. Just before halftime, Berterame’s towering header, off a precise cross from Silvetti, doubled Miami’s lead in stoppage time. This marked Berterame’s second goal in two games and Silvetti’s third assist of the regular season.
Colorado fought back in the second half, with Rafael Navarro and Darren Yapi netting goals in the 58th and 62nd minutes, respectively. However, Messi restored Miami’s lead in the 79th minute with a sublime finish into the top-left corner after a pass from De Paul. This goal was Messi’s seventh of the season, with De Paul registering his third assist.
Inter Miami held on to the 3-2 scoreline till the end, securing a crucial away victory in Colorado. Their next challenge will be facing the Colorado Rapids at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver next Saturday.
