This victory tied Inter Miami with FC Cincinnati for the most points earned in the first nine away games of an MLS regular season.
In the 24th minute, Messi capitalized on a defensive error to score his 10th goal of the season, giving Miami the lead. Despite a penalty conversion by Kevin Denkey for Cincinnati just before halftime, the match remained intense.
The second half saw Pavel Bucha and Evander score for Cincinnati, taking the lead twice. However, Messi’s second goal in the 55th minute and Silvetti’s equalizer in the 79th minute turned the tide in Miami’s favor. Berterame’s goal in the 84th minute and an own goal sealed the 5-3 victory for Inter Miami.
