Veteran actress Madhoo disclosed that Karisma Kapoor, among other actresses, turned down the role of Tina Verma in the 1993 action drama ‘Pehchaan’. Despite being a second choice after multiple rejections, Madhoo decided to take on the role with pride.
Madhoo expressed her determination to play the character after learning that several prominent actors, including Karisma Kapoor, declined the role. The film ‘Pehchaan’, directed by Deepak Shivdasani, featured Madhoo alongside Sunil Shetty, Saif Ali Khan, and Shilpa Shirodkar in key roles.
The movie ‘Pehchaan’, released on October 8, 1993, was produced by A.K. Abdul and Jeevat A.T. It featured music by Anand Milind and was Madhoo’s debut film in Hindi cinema, following her success in movies like “Roja” and “Gentleman”.
