The Madhya Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lauded Chief Minister Mohan Yadav-led government’s Budget for 2026–27 as inclusive and results-oriented. The BJP highlighted the budget’s emphasis on welfare, infrastructure development, and economic growth across various sectors, totaling Rs 4,38,317 crore. State BJP President Hemant Khandelwal commended the budget, noting a rise in Madhya Pradesh’s per capita income from Rs 1,41,000 to Rs 1,69,000 over the past two years due to the government’s economic policies.
The budget includes allocations for key sectors like education, healthcare, employment generation, and infrastructure development in urban and rural areas. Khandelwal mentioned specific provisions such as over Rs 23,000 crore for the ‘Ladli Behna Yojana’ to support women financially. Additionally, funds have been earmarked for the construction of 5,700 hostels for working women, focusing on their safety, welfare, and pension benefits.
Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla highlighted the budget’s alignment with the vision of creating a “developed Madhya Pradesh” and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘GYAN’ vision. He emphasized the allocation of Rs 23,747 crore for the health sector in the upcoming financial year to enhance healthcare infrastructure and accessibility to medical services. Shukla also mentioned allocations for medical colleges, district hospitals, and primary health centers to strengthen the healthcare system at various levels.
