The Madhya Pradesh Cabinet, led by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, met at the Secretariat to approve the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Pension) Rules, 2026, and the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Commutation of Pension) Rules, 2026. These rules aim to simplify procedures for pensioners, allowing for timely resolution of related cases. Notably, unmarried, widowed, and divorced daughters are now eligible for family pension under Rule 44.
The Cabinet also sanctioned the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Implementation of National Pension System) Rules, 2026, and the Madhya Pradesh Civil Services (Payment of Gratuity under the National Pension System) Rules, 2026, effective from April 1, 2026. Moreover, they allow for the amalgamation of previous service with the Central and Madhya Pradesh governments.
Furthermore, the state Cabinet granted a five-year age relaxation for IT cadre employees in the High court and district courts to partake in technical cadre recruitment processes. Additionally, a substantial budget of Rs 7,133.17 crore was approved for ongoing and future schemes of the Tribal Affairs and Women and Child Development Departments from 2026-27 to 2030-31.
