Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed deep sorrow over the untimely death of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, praising his dedication to uplifting the underprivileged and marginalized communities. Congress stalwarts Kamal Nath and Digvijaya Singh also paid tribute to Pawar, highlighting his lifelong commitment to serving society’s disadvantaged sections. The tragic plane crash in Baramati, claiming Pawar’s life along with four others, has left a significant void in Maharashtra’s political landscape.

Tributes from various political circles continue to pour in, underscoring Pawar’s reputation as a hardworking leader who worked tirelessly to unite people for Maharashtra’s advancement. The investigation into the crash is ongoing as the nation mourns the loss of a prominent political voice. Ajit Pawar, known for his administrative prowess and advocacy for the underprivileged, was en route to his hometown for election-related engagements when the fatal accident occurred.

The aircraft, a chartered Learjet 45, lost control during a landing attempt at Baramati Airport, crashing in a nearby field. Eyewitnesses reported the plane deviating from its path before the crash, resulting in a fire that consumed the wreckage. All five occupants, including the Deputy CM, his security officer, an attendant, and two crew members, tragically lost their lives in the accident. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation has confirmed the fatalities, prompting the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau to launch a probe into the incident.

Ajit Pawar, a prominent figure in the Nationalist Congress Party and nephew of veteran politician Sharad Pawar, began his political journey through grassroots movements in Maharashtra. With a focus on rural development, irrigation projects, and welfare initiatives, Pawar earned acclaim for his governance style and commitment to public service. Despite his educational background limited to secondary level, he held ministerial positions and played a pivotal role in the state’s political landscape. His sudden demise has not only shocked the nation but also underscored his significant contributions to Maharashtra’s progress.
